It's not worth it. You should just sell your C5 and buy a C6.

He's right. The amount of work required and the cost of parts involved you would be better off selling your C5 and purchasing a C6. NONE of the body panels carry over, and I believe the framerails need to be stretched several inches as well. There are a few companies that make C6 style front and rear ends, but they don't look right.

I found these, they aren't too bad..

Here are some pics from that site. Not my cup of tea, but certainly easier that a whole body conversion.

Living in England, the thought of shipping in all the parts you'd need is just impossible. Imagine, you just fitted all the pieces into place and it now looks like a C6 but you need a small component thats now obsolete...........................

Buy a C6

not to mention you will never be able to find someone to buy the car if you ever want to sell it after all that work has been done.

Yep - my answer in the beginning was short and to the point but I'll add in a few more lines. I agree with most of the other guys here only because by the time you're done spending money to get everything "C6 Converted" You'd probably have spent close to the difference of what it would cost on top of your C5. You would be better off just buying a C6 and getting into an LS2 and a slightly updated interior. It would be a smarter overall decision. I will bet that if you follow through and do the conversion that it will cost a lot more than what you think it will.

That would actually be an interesting read but I'm just thinking of all the work that would need to go into it for it to look perfect and it adds up.

And I always thought if they came out with a C5 body kit to fit the C6, it would a great step forward.

...I NEVER have wamed up to the C6 look, expecially the rear, it looks like it was warped or broken and bent.

Beauty and the beholder I guess.....Flame me if you wish, I'm wearing nomex so it won't hurt a bit.

Cheers guys!!!

You don't have money for a C6 but have money for this silly idea? Probaby cost you more to do this than buying a used C6.

the C6 wheel base is shorter then the C5.
The C5 frame needs to shortend by 6"

Cut off the front cross beam, shorten the frame rails by 3" on each side, weld on the front cross beam

Repeat for the rear

talk off the front A-arms and remount 1" farther forward.

The C6 Body to fit the C5 will run you $25-$27,000 all in carbon fiber of course.

ie fly to America, buy a C6 and ship it back to the UAE would cost much less.

Good Luck with your project
