C1242 BPMV Pump Motor Ground Circuit Open
So over the past few weeks I've been getting the Service ABS/TC/Active Handling lights and I need to do something about it. Did some research on the forum and started to come to the conclusion that it was caused by C1214 Sol Valve Relay Contact or Coil CKT Open like so many others have experienced. But in my case, I dont even have that history code. Instead I have C1242 BPMV Pump Motor Ground Circuit Open.
From what I've read on other threads, the BPMV cannot be repaired correct? BUT, if it is just a bad ground then should be an easy fix! My question, anybody know where the BPMV is grounded to? Thanks!

I had the 1242 code on my 2003.
I went thru all the cleaning grounds and connectors, and all that. Couldn't hurt, certainly, but solved nothing (for me).
Finally called Brandon at ABS Fixer. He said that yes, he can fix the 1242 on the EBCM.
I took it off (not difficult), sent it in, and got it back at end of the week. Fixed!
No further 1242 code since.
I suggest you call him at ABS Fixer.
Good luck.

Does anyone know the difference between C1214 and C1242? The description is the same (Sol Valve Relay Contact or Coil CKT Open) and I'm getting the C1242 and U1096 (the last one might be temp, just cleared) so what would that mean?
