I LOVE getting up each morning!
You know we sometimes don't think how blessed we are. I've been too close to death more times than I want to count. But each day when I get up and slip behind the wheel of my dream car.... I feel like the most blessed and luckiest guy ever!
I don't even get upset when things go wrong with my car or it needs something else....I'm that much more blessed to have this car to fix AND drive!

I couldn't agree more. My dream car is up on jack stands right now getting a little suspension work done and every night when I go down to get a little bit more done, I smile. I really hope that the majority of Vette owners consider themselves blessed. I also hope that the majority of Vette owners treat others with dignity regardless of their status of income. There is nothing worse than a person who has been blessed that is a snob to those around them with less.
One of my favorite people in the world and unknown to him, my largest mentor, has an income well into seven figures a week and he always treats everyone he meets with utmost respect and dignity. He taught me something that R.W. Emerson once wrote, "Every man I meat is my superior in some way. In that, I learn of him." It's not just income or stuff that makes a man great. It's his character. I hope the next generation of Vette owners learn this from the current.

I can relate for sure.
I don't drive my car daily because I'm not lugging my 80lb tool box in the back of my Z06 daily.. , and i'm just too busy with work and my son to have time to drive it Mon-Fri...
When I get home every evening I open the garage door and just stare at my Z06. I get so excited all week for the weekend so I can go out cruising !
Going out cruising with my buddies in the morning to a Dyno Day ! I cant wait to get behind the wheel ! I dusted it off last night and its ready to go !

Corvette ownership notwithstanding, we as Americans are blessed. Those who live in poverty in America are rich in comparison to 75% of the rest of the worlds population. It is an easy thing to take for granted.

Life is always what you make it....good or bad, happy or sad......it is how you handle the challenges and whether you succeed or not that determines your fate.
There ARE things in our lives that bring us happines, and for most of us here on the Forum, it is our cars.
I say drive them, care for them, discuss them and embrace them........and smile all the more.

Maybe it's just me but did anyone else have to reread the title because when you first read it you added the word "it" in the title?
Back On Topic. I have to agree with the sentiment of others on here and to add to it...I am grateful everyday that I get up to have another day to live. And I feel even more blessed and privileged to have the ability to have a "toy" like mine.

I think the majority of us here on the forum feel the same way you do, Rick. I know I feel very blessed to own an example of America's Sports Car.

Whenever I'm at my gf place I always go sneek a peak at my '98 (my '88 is at my place - once it's sold my '98 comes home). Totally agree with the OP. Love having my Vette to drive and look at - it's a natural high.

I was thinking about that. When you're driving down the highway in your Corvette, you're traveling in a faster, safer and more efficient way than any king or emperor ever did until about 1945, and when you floor it out of a dead stop, you're accelerating faster than all but a very select few people alive at any point in history will ever experience while still remaining on the ground. Kind of humbling.

I"m also part of that majority on this form Rick. The corvette is my dream car an I totally agree with what you're saying about being blessed. Even the friendships we form on this forum can be considered a blessing.

I feel blessed through the fact every morning I'm alive, above ground, is the start of a good day.
