Get the sand out of your Vagina. You're on a public forum. He wasn't required to post pics, and were not required to like his style. Personally, I don't care for it, and thats just being honest. BUT, as long as he and his wife likes it, who cares what I or anyone else thinks? This country is so worried about be PC and not stepping on anyones toes its ridiculous

How many spectators do you think attend track days and out of that, how many are in the demographics for this type of book?

I still wouldn't do it for the tax advantages, looks gay as hell.

No problems with the comments. I don't care about being PC. I've already done the pristine C4 and C5 Z06, followed the herd, Zainoed, bling wheels, and so on. No problem there either. To each his own.

The car is for all practical purposes just a race car now. The interior is gutted out down to a defroster fan. Over 200lbs of dead weight removed. The motor has been warmed over with heads/cam package. The old coil-over system I was using is coming off and all out racing coil-overs to replace them. Poly bushings in, big brakes on the front with ducting, oil cooler and other bits to help the engine not grenade. It will never go back to the street again. Aero going on it this summer as I get the mounts built for it.

It's my 2nd Z06. After tasting track with the first one, I knew what this car was really made for. Started making a street/track car. Got ran over by a tractor trailer and almost killed. Spent couple of years on the side lines not being able to track or even be a waxer! I decided once I got better I would build the track car I wanted. It's ok if none of you like it. I was curious what reaction I would get but far from surprised.

A chunk of profits from her Greywinds business and time goes towards a hospital where we grew up. The ward in particular is for young kids with cancer and their families. We also donated a lot of products and time to USO to give our soldiers some basic necessities as they deploy and when they come home. So how much I paid for all this and whether I ever recoup back 1 penny is not relevant.

Thanks for the comments from some of the more open minded folks and the suggestion to use it as a tax write-off! We are looking into it. While the demographic of track rats may not help her book sales. The car will move around to tracks on an open trailer. Right now up and down the east coast and some further in land. I'm doing my bucket list of tracks.

So she is living out some of her dreams writing books and I'm living out mine building and driving this thing like I stole it. I hope you folks get to realize some of your dreams. These things are just cars at the end of the day. Coolest damn cars I've ever had, but still cars.

Not only may you have the opportunity to write off some/all costs, and get some advertising benefit, but with graphics like that it can be used as a promotional tool for book signings, charitable events, or whatever else you can come up with. Just like any other sponsorship, you have take it out and give people access to it for maximum effect.

Good luck !

Ah good suggestion Meldog. I hadn't thought about the book signings and all. She just did one when she went back to our home town last month. It was a mixed visit to the hospital and she also did sample readings at the library and a local school as a guest. Now the car is done we'll figure out how to get the write off to work. More money towards the kids so it's an excellent idea, thanks !!!

Now for the fun part.

I'm going to Watkins Glen in a few weeks. Trying out the new suspension and motor upgrades. It should be a blast. I've been up there twice before and this car ran 2:09 with stock motor and just coil-overs and bars and old Hoosiers. It had all the stock interior, AC, and no ugly wrap, just old scratched up paint.

I've got a bit newer Hoosiers to put on this time. If I can shake off the cobwebs and get good track time and dry weather. I'm hoping to get down to 2:05. My goal is to go back and run 2:00 flat with aero. Now that's a Corvette hauling azz...

I'm running about the same lap times at VIR and have about the same goals there too.

Got to have something to shoot for.

You should always have copies of the book(s) available where ever the car goes. That way when people see the car and ask what the graphics are about you can tell them, show them, and sell them.

You might even make sales when you're stopped for gas or food.
