I like the way those look. I like the sidewall a lot more than the Bridgestone Potenza's that are on the front of mine.

BTW here's a picture of my last set of Michelin A/S Plus ZPs on the rear. Off center rib worn prematurely.

From my experience they just don't wear well, and the Plus model didn't completely solve the issue. I decided to go back to the full width summer tire considering I live in FL.
I drive my 99 in all types of weather, except snow/ice, and I drive it every day. My rear PS AS Plus ZPs went 33,000 miles of all sorts of roads. The fronts still have 40% of their tread left and both were still giving great traction and handling in all sorts of weather. Maybe I am wrong, but I think 33k on the rears is OK for C5 rear tires.

But if I lived in a warm climate I would choose a different type of tire since I would not need an AS tread.

It's happened to me and I've always kept the pressure at 30 psi. I don't know why and it's happened on at least 2 sets.

To the many who have had this happen on their Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus tires it would be interesting to know the aprox. miles on the tires when the rear center rib got down to the wear bars or beyond.

Mine were around 30-33k

He said its a known issue.

On Michelin's website, the recommend tire pressure is 30 psi. That is what I run my at and is what is recommend by GM too.

Sorry to here that you have possible ruined your expensive tires.

Do you really run 58 PSI?
Look at the pressures recommended on the driver's door.
The sticker says you should run 30 PSI, both front and rear (cold temp)
At 58PSI it's no wonder they wear out the center, you've overinflated by roughly 2X..

Just checked mine. They've been on the car a year with a little over 12,000 miles. No uneven wear - they still look new.
