Firehawk is currently bone stock only SLP options. however, i have already picked up some Edelbrock Stepped Long tubes, LS6 intake PP TB, SLP Air lid, K&N.. Gonna add these items in a couple of weeks along with a tune.
A 224/230 cam, 3200 stall, ported 243's... Call it a day.
Love the HO SS....and the FM5's are SEX!! Nice find!

Thank you!
Thank you! Sounds like a good combo. This car already had LTs, offroad y-pipe, lid and a TRex cam and moves out pretty quickly. I have set of 4.10s I am about to put in it though, should help with this giant cam.
Thank you
Nice WS6
Thank you Hugger Orange is one of my favorite colors that GM has ever put out. I think that is why I love Torch Red so much as well. I wish GM had made more Hugger F-bodies, I believe there is only 300 or so 4th Gen Z28/SS cars made in 99, too bad they did not continue to put them out. Great find on the Hugger Z/28, you were lucky to come across it

Thank you.. I agree they definitely should have made more in Hugger. I bought the car from a friend she was a older lady that purchased it new in 99 and only drove it in the summer. I didnt need the car but with diesel prices rising I decided to buy it and park my duramax. If you go to Ls1tech they have a way to get your build number for your car since these colors are so rare. congrats to you too on the SS I love the hood and spoiler makes it look more sporty

I love the Firehawk. I almost bought one of the really early 4th generation ones new (maybe 1995?), but I went with a BMW M3 instead. I had a co-worker who had the only Trans-Am based Firehawk in existence at the time. This was back when SLP was modifying Formulas only, and selling them not directly through Pontiac. It was a pretty darn fun car. Crude but fun! I definitely remember my first ride in one. I also remember the SLP documentation where they were running 12.9 in a stock Firehawk which was DAMN fast back in those day.
I would love to find one as a second ride. I always want to own a sports car, but I would just love to have a muscle car as a second ride. And a Firehawk is definitely a future collectible.
BTW, is it true that the 4th gen Camaro SS actually makes less power than the regular Z/28? I had a Camaro expert explain to me that the SLP hood/intake on the SS was actually more restrictive and cost the LS1 a few HP over a regular Z/28 despite the claimed factory HP. True or false? Obviously these were underrated since they normally match Corvette LS1 HP on the dyno anyway.

That horsepower business is non-sense, pretty sure most stock LS f-bodies whether they be a Z/28, SS, WS6, TA etc will all be very close on the dyno with the usual variance. The trouble is finding stock examples to test nowadays
EDIT: CorvetteandSilverado beat me to it

Melting Slicks
Very nice; I especially like the fact that it's a hardtop and doesn't have the T-tops.
