Does anyone have a fix for this problem? I did read some older threats and tried removing fuse 27 as well as 18 in the hope of resetting everything; no luck thus far.

Add freon? It's the usual fix if the passenger side is colder than the drivers side

Actually my problem is with the heat on. I forgot because its summer now and I haven't used it. It blows cold on the drivers side, but hot on the passengers site. Not to hijack, but any ideas here?

Agree with Camjamsdad. Had the same problem earlier this year and the wife was not happy. Added freon and, voila, ice cold on both sides. At least six weeks later and remains good to go...

Check and see if you have any codes...there are two..one for each side's actuator. If you have them, the re-indexing procedure you did by pulling the fuses may help, but if not, you need to replace the actuator. Adding refrigerant will do nothing for you.

If you have dual zone a/c, likely the actuator is toast. I know this because the one in my black car failed. The only fix is to replace it. The part is about $250 retail, and a fair amount of labor....book time is just under 4 hours of labor.

I fixed my actuator myself, after learning how to remove it and repair the busted plastic gear by reading and following the repair thread here on the forum. I went one step further and installed a steel washer cut to fit and JB Welded into the plastic gear. It's so much tougher and operates perfectly! NO MORE Hot/Cold problem!

The 98 I used to have did that when the freon needed charged.
