Guys - I've been Googling for a while with no positive results. I've been looking at a few C5s for sale and am getting close to a decision.
One I am looking at is under 40k miles and the paint is clean except for the Passenger Door.
Here it looks like either something impacted the door, or maybe it was opened over-far?
To describe it, view the attached pic. It is maybe a 1" vertical stress/rip mark in the body panel which is located about mid way between the side mirror housing and the front of the door panel itself.
I'm not sure if this is something that CAN be fixed, or if it is something I would even want to try if it won't come out good.
So I've been looking for replacement door body panels but haven't found them.

That is a good question. I would discuss with the seller and arrange to have the door looked at by a good body shop. Get a quote for repair or replacement and go from there. Not that you have to get a brand new door skin - you could check with a used parts forum vendor and see what a different door would cost and then figure in the paint job.

The pic I posted is just to give an idea of where the mark is.
It doesn't sound like a good verdict for the door! I will need to look into it now. I thought it would be an easy fix or part swap. I mean they sell everything ELSE vette related out there.
Doors for the C5 are very difficult to find. There are NO new ones available and used ones are very hard to find. A buddy had some damage his right side door and while the Insurance company approved a used door over repairing the damaged on he was unable to find a used door.
Would be easier to judge seeing the actual damage. It doesn't seem like something that would require a new door as you describe it. Why not drive it to the nearest auto body repair place and get a quote. Doors are available used.
I'll have to take pictures if I look at it again. By the time I can get out to see it, any shop in the area would be long since closed.
No problem. Just tell the seller that you want him or her to take it to a place to have the body work looked at during the day. Tell them to tell the body shop you will be calling later that day as the buyer. If they want to sell it there should be no problem with that.
In the end it is all about the price. If it is going to be $1000 to fix the door then offer $1000 less than you would. Probably would really be $100-300 to fix it.

Let me see if I got this right, You post a picture of a door that needs repair and want to know if it should be replaced or fixed, Then to find out that isn't even the door that needs repair, To answer your question I think you should post the part that needs fixing. Then we know what you are up against.
