A few pics of what I've been up to....
As I've been preparing for my trip to Arizona I've managed to get quite a few mods and repairs done...
C6 Z51 sway bars with metal end links on front and rear. This is the best performance improvement yet; I love the way the car handles now.
Here's what the old end links looked like and the reason I went with this upgrade. They'd been past ready for replacement.
New front & rear brake pads & rotors, and I painted the calipers while I had everything apart. The old fluid looked nasty but it was all bled out and replaced with clean fluid.
I have also repaired the ignition switch, which had four of the six internal contacts burned, removed the ink stain from my passenger seat (alcohol & Lexol), installed a smooth coupler on my air intake, replaced the OEM black screws with SS screws on the headlight buckets, installed a flush-mount taillight kit, replaced a broken passenger side DRL lens, replaced the broken glove-box frame, put on two new front tires, straightened a bent front air dam, and installed an LMC5 column-lock bypass. There are a few more repairs but I can't remember which atm. Yep. I've been busy.
She's looking and running great now and is just about ready for the trip. I only have a couple more repairs/upgrades to finish before I leave on Friday: installing a dual guage pod A pillar with fuel & boost guages, and gluing the weatherstripping on the cowl back in place. She'll also get a double coat of wax later this week before I put the GM bra on to protect the nose during the drive out and back. I think I've done just about everything I can to ensure a trouble-free trip, including stocking the storage areas with tools & supplies that should get me back on the road again if something bad were to happen, such as a flat tire or a broken serpentine belt.

Thanks! When I put the two coats of wax on it and detail the car again in a couple of days I'll post some pics of the whole car as it looks now.
I just added another repair with fixing the loose weatherstripping on the cowl. It wasn't an easy job, but it was necessary. The stripping was sticking out so far that it was on the wrong side of the wiper blades.

Nice changes. I'm going to have to look into the C6 Z51 sway bars.
