Default Installed a front license plate. Temporarily.

I cannot believe how much of a difference it makes in the looks department of the front of the car. I had to take a picture just to remember what it looks like.

Had the ticket signed off, came home and took that ugly thing right off and popped the Corvette plate back in.

With a front plate:

Without:

I made sure to drive two cities over, so I wouldn't run into the same LEO in my city.

I agree. It looks so much better with out but living where I live it's not worth the trouble so I leave the plate on.

Put a surround on it. It will look 10x better, or the plastic window isn't to bad. It has the same curves as the car, but it tends to get dirty inside. Either way, those options will make it look better.

I run without a plate in NJ even though it's required. I have $56 set aside for if/when it happens...been knockin on wood for 2 years now.

I've been "knocking on wood" for 11 years with my C-5, and 17 years with my Z-28.....

In states like Kalifornia where a front plate is required I would get a GM clear cover and paint it on the inside the color of the car just enough for the numbers to show and it looks good.

Thank God South Carolina doesn't require a front plate. If they did I would definitely order that motorized plate.

I agree that without the factory surround there, it looks terrible. Get a surround painted to match the body color and it doesn't look all that bad and no hassles from the LEOs.

Definitely looks better without, but if you have to have one the plastic surround helps.

That would be a violation here in California, too.
