Default C6 shifter?

I have acsess to a totaled 2006 c6 and am thinking of getting the shifter. Just looking for some opinions from forum members who have already done this. Is the c6 shifter better? How do you like it? What about the install, is it difficult? What would something like this be worth? May also look at getting the sway-bars. Thanks for the opinions!

Install is a few minutes once you get your console out of the way. I would recommend this shifter a million times over. Shorter throws and SMOOTH.

I swapped mine. Love it! Shorter shaft, shorter throw, better angle, fits in the hand. New units are ~250.00......so go for much cheaper than that!

From what i test drove last week. The throws are shorter and smooth. Not A LOT shorter though. There's still lots of play in the shifter. I'm going with an MGW as soon as there's some cash available. But if you can get your hands on the c6 shifter for a reasonable price then go for it. Anything is better than the stock c5 shifter IMO.

I absolutely love my C6 shifter. Try to get the box as well. Not necessary, but if yours has quite a few miles on it, the bushings could be pretty worn.
