Default Time to upgrade the interior

I'm getting ready to make a few upgrades next week to the interior. Going to start out by installing the insulated heat barrier on the floor and doors and install a partition all purchased from Dan at Exotic Vette.

Replacing the headliner due to it sagging, painting the console to match the exterior silver and installing those little silver gauge rings.

While the seats are out Ill fix the rocking with the mod from this forum. Then off to install a new sound system. Nothing over the top but just a decent system to allow me to stream my music. Here is the part list:

Alpine CDE-133BT CD
Rockford Fosgate P1000X5D 1000 Watt Class D 5 Channel Amplifier
Alpine SPR-60C 6.5" Car Audio Component System in the doors
Alpine SPR-60 6.5" Car Audio Coaxial Speakers in the rear
JL 10" sub in the back

Then I'll finish it with the rear window sun shade. Should look and sound pretty good. I still have the junk Bose speakers in it now.

I'm also getting ready to replace my OBX catback with a Z06 Ti catback due to the drone and it being a tad too loud. The Z06 exhaust is exactly what I am looking for with my current setup with headers.

Then off to the suspension. Ready to pull the trigger on the C6 Z06 shocks, sways and metal links from Gene. Just waiting to figure out the shipping charges to the island.

I think once done, I will have a quiet ride with some decent tunes. I'm on vacation the next three weeks to enjoy installing all of this. I'll post pictures for you all to enjoy.

Some repairs, some looks upgrades, some comfort upgrades, some performance upgrades... that's a great list!

I had a similar "to do" list when I upgraded my interior in 2011 and I am very happy with the results.

I know most of us like the "go fast" mods, however it's also nice to enjoy a mod when you're sitting at the stoplight or driving 30 MPH through heavy traffic and every time you start the car.

I upgraded my audio system with a custom DD NAV system, new speakers, trunk sub and amp. Like you, my goal was not to out-thump the car next to me, but just improve the sytem and add enough bass while still leaving enough room in my vert trunk to carry my golf clubs.

I also added the sound and heat reduction material, a thermal tunnel plate, Corsa X-pipe, Z06 sways, Koni FSD shocks and then finished off the creature comforts with a custom Vette Essentials interior.

Good luck!

Console and bezel painted. Going to remove it again for the remaining install. Just wanted to see what it looked like. Perfect match to the exterior.

Almost done replacing my steering wheel position sensor. Then off to remove the seats and carpet.

Here are a few pics.
