What color/finish of wheels for a white car?
For the LAST TIME, I will be purchasing a new set of wheels for my car. I went from wagon wheels (stock) to Z06 wheels in argent grey, to polished Z16 wheels, to these TSW's. I like them sometimes, but the design is a bit ricey. I am leaning towards the Forgestar F14's since they fixed the offset/backspacing issue and they don't make your car look like a skateboard anymore. I'm not a huge fan of chrome or polished wheels either. Would these look good in black on my car?
Current:
Thinking about:
Not sure of the finish though. I am totally open to suggestions, and since this will be the last time I am buying wheels I will give myself a budget of $3000. I know these Forgestars are half that, but I like them. I would also like to stick with 18's on all 4 corners, and whatever I get needs to clear C6 Z06 brakes. Thanks guys!

Ok, here is my opinion after being in the same boat recently. Color-wise, definitely go with one of the blacks or dark grays, satin or gloss. Then follow up with same color mods on the rest of the car. Stick to just 2 colors overall...adding a 3rd color just doesn't work, so no red stripes, or whatever....stripes should match the wheel color and finish....same for sideskirts, etc. However, calipers can be a focal point without violating this rule. Now, your first pic is a no-no wheel design. Why? Because it looks like a true 'wagon wheel', even though we call the first C5 wheel, wagon wheels, this designation should now shift to those Forgestars. Your second pic is a great choice for your car. Do your calipers Torch Red or a bright blue and you are all done.

Black is a fad that will end eventually. Don't be a sheep, be a wolf; go with chrome/polished.

And couldn't the same be said about Chrome wheels then?
I have Polished CCW 505's on my Black Vette, but have had many Black wheels over the years. I think Black wheels with a Red Stripe look good and even better yet, Argent wheels with a Stripe look sick on White!

I think the black looks awesome on that silver car (belongs to forum member MotoJB) but I am not sure it would look good on white, almost too much contrast. I'm also not 100% sold on the Forgestars, but here is a pic of their finish options:
Maybe the gloss gunmetal?

Chrome wheels have been in style as long as hot rods have been around. Black wheels have not, and it's relatively recent that black wheels meant something other than that your hubcap fell off.

White is so versatile - it may be less the color, but the style of wheel? I went with CCW chrome 505As. I could not be happier, but there are so many other options out there. With white, you really can not go wrong with almost any choice - the most versatile color IMO. If I wanted to go super aggressive, I would go BLACK, otherwise CHROME
