Well it had to happen!!!!
After 2 years of trouble free operation things are starting to break down. One of my DRL bulbs went out and the left front tpms sensor quit working. What's next, my vanity mirror going to fall off??? It's only 13 years old, where's the quality???? Stay away from these trouble prone early models, they're are killer expensive to keep on the road.
Being the tight-wad that I am, think I'll try to rebuild the tpms sensor. I know I've seen some write-ups and pics on here. I'm on the road and won't be home until Monday night, anybody know the bulb number for the daytime running lights?

Yeah, you'd figure GM could make a car that wouldn't have any problems for at least the first 15 years.

Exactly what I was thinking
I found a good video on you tube on replacing tpms batteries but not sure about the battery number. Anybody got a number for a 99 sensor?

To replace the bulb I just move brake duct back and out of the way. Then reach up in there through front bumper and twist socket out of lens. Then pull down enough to remove bulb and then put back together. 5 mins or less and of course hand and forearm size varies and may prevent this method.

All cars have problems no matter who made them. It all has to do with how it was cared for and luck.

Your car is 13 years old and you are complaining about a bulb and a tire sensor going out when we all know life is 10 years on the sensors? I don't care what car you have after 13 years you are going to have some minor issue and yours are very minor.
What happens to the front bulbs is the lens gets hot and can have small cracks in them on the top side and water will leak in and pop the bulb, I replaced mine with led bulbs and they run cold and no issues.

Yep. My 2000 Coupe would do this every time I washed it at a water only drive through car wash. Moisture is the culprit. Get some silicone based protectant that is water resistant, and apply over the bulb housing . That should take care of the bulb problem.
