Default 70 years young!!!

Okay, so you are at or near the 70 mark. BIG DEAL. I am there next in line with you and just sold my big block 68 Vert to buy an AE very low mileage 03 convertible. I plan to drive the heck out of the 03 and enjoy every minute. So long as I can bend over to pick up something I am a happy Vette owner. To H%@LL with how old you are. My inspiration is a fellow Corvette club member who is in his eighties and is the original owner of a beautiful 57 Cascade Green Vette. He and his wife attend car shows and drive cruise ins. I don't see him/them struggling to get into his 57. Enuf said! So long as you have your health enjoy the ride!! Life is way too short. Happy Birthday to you.

Default 70?????

First - Today was better than yesterday - but tomorrow while great will not be as good as the next day.

Will be 70 on February 6, and within one month will be putting my three year build on the dyno. Expecting 1000+ and hope to enjoy and have fun - bring it back up when you turn 80.

Congratulations on your 70th birthday... keep on driving!

I am old enough to remember when 70 was the posted speed limit on most highways...

How many "old farts" over 70 out there still driving Vettes?
Happy Birthday and Keep driving

Reminds me of an EBAY Vette a few years ago. The guy put on his ad saying "Turned 50 and wife says grow up, so guess it's time for the Corvette to go"

I thought to myself, maybe he should keep the Vette, and put the wife on EBAY !

HB "old man," but don't ever give up your Vette. My reasoning? I was 63 before I got mine 2 yrs ago because that's how long it took me to be able to afford it. I had been retired seveal years and always thought about buying "the" Vette. I have a bad knee and it hurts getting in and out but I don't care. When I fire it up and hear that rumble and pull from my driveway into the street my whole attitude changes. What else in life short of a wonderul, loving family could make an old man feel young? Enjoy.

Default Never to old.......

Happy Birthday

You're just a pup ....... with a lot of experience !

The folks a GM are definitely in tune with our age group and they expect us to drive them. They produced the C5 for us when we were in our 50's, the C6 for our 60's and now the C7 for our 70's. I'm already looking forward to what they will have for me in my 80's.

Save the wave !!

Don't listen to those greedy SOB's who tell you you're too old just so they can get their hands on your 'Vette. Plan to drive it until you can't drive anything else. No age limit for true 'Vette lovers/drivers. Everybody else is just jealous!

10-4 on getting in/out of the 32. At 6-2" it is kinda snug and hard to get the knees up and inside!! We used to have a C4 and it was much harder getting in/out. the C5 is much better[/QUOTE]

Actually I was refering to getting in and out of the Vette! I didn't have any trouble getting in the hot rod coupe, I just sold it because I had it for 14 years and got tired of it. That was a mistake [selling it] that I regret.

WTH would it matter how old you are?!? I was 19 when i got my vette, 21 now. It does not matter how old or young you are, if you love corvettes and enjoy driving one, drive one and love every minute of it.
