Blasphemy!

I broke triple digits the 3rd or 4th time driving my car, still learning stick too. I will never forget the first time I floored it through 1st and 2nd gear. Now after 3 years, 350 hp feels like driving a Prius!

This is pretty much how i drive my C5 haha!

I hit 120 the first day on the expressway. Was cruising at 70 and punched it. It happens fast. Took my foot off right away.

Like some others I like the rapid acceleration on an entrance ramp or leaving a light or banking a curve at speed more than anything else.

Yes I saw that too. I run my Michelin ZP's @ 30 psi. When they heat up I see 32.

That's probably why I had it displayed. It was really susceptible to elevation and the outside temp. But still too high when I got back to lower elevations etc so re-did my tires pressures after that.

I feel very safe and comfy up to about 120. After that, I start to get tense and don't stay above that for long at all.

I hit 3 digits the night I bought it. My wife was following me and I was being very nice and cautious. She called my cell phone and said I didn't have to wait for her and to go have fun...so I hit the gas and was goooooooone.

Thats pretty much exactly how it went for me as well and I even had a v6 camaro before the vette. I def pushed the camaro harder than I do the vette, heck Ive never even been out of 3rd in the vette at WOT.

130 mph on the highway during day two.

Needed to pass some slower moving traffic on a 4 lane highway.
Didn't really mean to go that fast, was amazed how quickly it got there. I trust myself at that speed, but not the road or other drivers.

Normally save the freaky stuff for the track where all I have to concern myself with is the limit of the car.

On my first trip with my wife on our way to visit her sister in Atlanta,,in Northern Georgia,,when the highway opened up to 5 lanes in each direction seemed like everybody was jostling and jockeying for position. I got an opening and stepped on it,,and after I cleared the cluster, looked down and read 105. At the strip I've ticked off a 13.08 @ 110.24!!

Just passing someone on the highway happens so quick this car hits 100 before you even realize it, so I have to say it's not an everyday occurrence, but I've hit 100 several times. I still have a clean license. However the fastest opportunity I ever had to keep my foot in it, I was with some other Vette maniacs on an Interstate not far from here with a four mile straightaway with excellent visibility.....Hit 160. Glad I did it once with no consequences, too risky to try it again.

In passing only. Have a long two lane stretch of road headed down to the beach and we eat out often there. 4 to 5 cars are backed up the maggie gets by them quick.
Rest of the time, stereo on, cruise locked at 7 over, top off, and I'm enjoying the ride.

I had mine up to 167 mph a few years ago, but that was the first and last time I'll ever go that fast. It only took me about 9 years to work up the courage to do that.
