I don't even try to think of it. actually, I've been able to sell off for close to what I paid on most, and a couple sets I got free to test for the wheel supplier back when I was still working. I was on an SAE committee along with some GM wheel engineers studying corrosion problems on the clearcoated polished thin spokes...I still have them....mine are from the first 100 made. Also, I get a special installation rate at Discount Tire because I've been there so many times. So, I suppose I at least have a break even scenario.

Sure, I'll buy that you broke even... but no need to explain it... I say anything you spend on your C5 is worth it!!!! Lol just kidding bro... if these cars are the one way we are somewhat frivolous with money then we are doing pretty good!!!

I hear ya...when I think about it, I am averaging a new set every 2 years...seems normal to me!

No, only when going from runflats to non, and from stock sizes to 18/19". But, I will have to replace the Hankooks soon...they are not a long lasting tire...

The automotive sales rep for Reynolds Aluminum Co...they were the source for some of the C5 wheels back then.

This thread made me realize I am on my 5th set, and I still own three of the sets.

1. 18x9.5 / 18x10 chrome c5z
2. 18x10 / 18x11 Black Malletts
3. 19x10 / 20x12 Black Boyd Coddingtons - still own
4. 18x10 / 18 x12 Black C5Z with polished lip - still own
5. 18x10 / 19 x13 CCW 505a - still own
