Default How to remove clutch line (pic) and gasket

How do you disconnect this?

What is the gasket that goes here so I can replace this. Looks like it has a leak but not enough to make a drop.

In regards to that leak at the junction of the tailshaft & main part of transmission.

That had black sealant applied at the factory, & was never a gasket in stalled there.
After a while that sealant deteriorates & forms a red trans oil leak.

Thanks for the tip bumble. I used a wrench that was just the right size to push it in. Leave the leak be or reseal it?

If you have it down I would just take care of it now. Otherwise it will bother you that you didn't :P On my old C5 I was able to separate it only about an inch(bolts still holding it together), clean it up and put a good layer of high temp RTV in there. Never leaked again.

Did you clean it up or just apply it.

I cleaned it up. The old gasket material peeled right off, I then cleaned the surface with a towel and some alcohol.
