Default Engine compartment changes - PICS

Updated my engine compartment with some very nice pieces from Pat over at American Hydrocarbon. I added the painted Inner fender covers along with the painted Cowl and Wipers. Originally I had the polished S.S. fender covers but I got tired of the scratching every time you wiped them down. I was going to go with chrome but wanted a different look. Pat worked with me through some issues and problems that I had in the beginning but it turned out the way I was looking for it to turn out. It was a long process but I was satisfied and Pat was understanding and came through. I added the red weather stripping by the cowl and trimmed it off with a 1/4" flexible chrome edging.
Let me know your thoughts.

Very nicely done. The combo of chrome and painted parts looks very good.

not sure how to sugar coat this, but I think it's hideous, but I was born in the 80s, so i'll assume that I just don't get it. for those thinking it, but won't say it, you're welcome

I especially like the smooth painted coolant overflow/washer fluid covers and fender "things" (not sure what to call them). Obviously a lot of work.

Default Changes

Thanks for the compliments and also the negatives. It is a great car to modify and personalize.
To me the C5 is a pretty unique car. Chevrolet really incorporated a lot of upgrades and updated it from the C4. To me it is has the best lines and nice performance in stock form as well as modified.
There is nothing like getting into it and hearing the rumble from the Bullets and it actually scares some people when your along side of them and you step on it and it kicks down a gear or two. It really gets loud and sounds powerful. It is a real pleasure to drive it and work on it.

Sometimes less is better, this is one of those times. You have WAAAY to much going on in there for my taste, Lots of covers that just cover things to make them pretty!

This is my idea of an engine bay!
