Maintenance on a 11 year old 2000 mile Corvette???
Most of you have probably seen the post on my new ride.
According to the original owner the oil was changed every spring when the PA State Inspection was done and the coolant was changed 6 years ago.
Here's my plan:
To get a good baseline I plan to change/have changed every fluid in the car. That should get me to square one moving forward.
The Eagle F1's on the car look great with no signs of cracking. But I will admit I'm a little cautious of 12 year old tires, I checked the date code.
From a maintenance perspective, is there anything I'm missing??
Thanks for your input!!

REPLACE THOSE TIRES!!!!!
belts, hoses, coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid, check pads, replace rear end and tranny fluids...all cheap insurance.
FWIW if you order the stuff online at Advanced Auto you can pick up in store and save 15%...takes less than 30 minutes to get your stuff and saves you $$$

If I had that car I would put the tires and wheels aside and replace with some non runflats(Hankook Ventus are great bang for the buck) for better ride and performance and some nice aftermarket wheels. I'd change out your air intake to one that would increase performance and mileage without major modifications like a Blackwing or Volant you could always change back in minutes. Maybe lower on stock bolts, looks like you already have a catback so that's about it.

Not saying, BUT if you haven't joined AAA, it's time incase emergency ever happens, you have piece of mind who to call.

How is a car made in 2000 11 years old?

Change the tires.......the original tires on my car looked great also. I bought new tires anyway and I'm glad I did. The Michelin run flats are much quieter, much better traction and it doesn't tramline any more. And I have the peace of mind that I'm driving on old tires.

seriously, every single thing said needs to be done
oh, and the fuel filter, replace that and inspect your air filter to see if it's in need as well

Good tip, I do the same thing. Sometimes you can do even better. Do a search for Advance Auto coupons. Frequently they have better than 15%. Last week I bought an Air Pump (for a different car) that was $102 for $62 with a $40 off $100 coupon code.

then drive it. I would be cautious to look for leaks initially sometimes when seals sit dry for a long time they may start to leak.
other than the above and caution over leaks
drive it

Changing all the fluids would be a good step - also the belts and hoses should be checked for and cracks, degradation, etc. If it were me, I would be replacing the tires - I just do not trust ones that are 12 years old.

Hard to mentally justify with such low miles, but fluids can get condensation developing- brake fluid, power steering fluid in addition to oil and coolant . . .tough to swallow spending $1500 for tires after buying the car, but it's money well spend . . .belts and radiator hoses is just being proactive and smart.
Enjoy !

I purchased my 02 last year with 4k mi. I did go ahead and buy some new tires and wheels do to the tires age, but they looked pretty much new. Everything else was fine. Enjoy!

Wow, and I thought I had bought my '98 with low miles (under 30).
I'm pretty sure I still have my original tires. They haven't bothered me one bit, I haven't noticed any intolerable grip issues or undue noise. I would say hold off on buying new tires and see how the current ones feel. Go to safe place and test the performance. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Because you can always buy them later.
I have nothing else to add except congrats and good luck with all of your maintenance!
