mobil 1 high mileage 10-30 for the street. you guys buying api SM/SN oils are getting more or less the same thing with a different sticker. penz plat, castrol edge, mobil1 standard, all are limited additive packs and a very highly refined group 3 oil. as far as i know no store oils are using PAO other than of course amsoil and royal purple, the later is extremely leak prone by the way. mobil1 high mileage is at least an api SL oil which have 1/3 again as much zinc/phosphorus in the additive pack. in short a more aggressive anti wear make up.

also redline for the track days

and use redline in the trans and rear end

i don't really have anything against amsoil it just happens to cost as much as redline and is a PAO rather than an ester. as oils goes PAO's are the most leak prone

Disagree. PAO swells seals, polyol ester shrinks them. And probably more important, the impacts of PAO swelling can, and is, easily addressed by blending in a small percentage of polyol ester which results in a fluid that very slightly swells the seals (a good thing). This has the additional benefit that the polyol ester lowers the PAO coefficient of friction even farther (another good thing).

AMSOIL obviously here.

Lots of AMSOIL users above.

For those that aren't getting AMSOIL at wholesale prices, more than happy to get AMSOIL products for forum members at dealer wholesale pricing, about 25% below retail, via the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program. Drop me a PM if interested.
