I'm thinking of purchasing a 1999 c5 with 65k miles black with Z06 rims
And tires and suppose to be very clean with no accidents and a clean title I'm going to see it this weekend the guy is doing me a deal at 9k I know this seems low and I know the whole you get what you pay for, but I need help what to look for majorly mainly and just some help I've only had Mustangs. I'm new to the corvette world.

Best advise is look at the top of C5 - general area and there is a sticky with docs about what to look for when buying a C5. I have a 99 that I just hit 63K on and have had it for 3 years and 22K. It has been dependable and have driven it any where I want. Great on gas and lots of fun.

I'm no expert on Corvette's but my recently purchased 99 convertible with not so nice wagon wheels and high mileage went for more than that and I thought I got a great deal. I'd be suspicious also because that seems awfully low. Check it out after reading threads posted here on buying a C5.
9k is suspect low actually. if the car would pass tests and doesn't have an odo rollback, damage or a salvage title it should get 12 without any trouble
when i see cars listed under why i know they would close for on ebay my spidey senses tingle a bit
there's typically a reason why they are priced low
test drive it, if it runs good tell him u need to take it somewhere and have it checked out................if he disappears u have your answer, i just paid 11k for a good running 97 Vette that needs cosmetics
