I have a great 2003 "vert" for fun summer top down drives and date nights with my wonderful wife and no kids, a great fifth wheel towing truck with my F450 and our "family car"- a Toyota Highlander. To me it is not so much about the brand of vehicle, but the reliability. I have had great luck with all my vehicles. I am also convinced you can buy a bad/lemon vehicle in any brand.

Lesse, I have two garages so that's a problem. I keep forgetting what's parked where. But allowing for old age DW's Hyundai and my F-150 are in our old garage and in the new garage there's the Tbird, my Vette and our Ford (engine) motorhome. Fords all over the place.
I once worked for a government agency. They issued trucks to us. I was able to drive new trucks from Chevy, Ford, and Dodge, not just around the block, but for months at a time. I decided that the Fords were overall better trucks for me. I found that the Chevys were the fastest, but the Fords were stiffer and had more torque. For my personal application the Fords fit the bill better than the Chevys. I've spent more time in four wheel drive than I spend in two wheel drive. Mostly I pull stumps with it so I like the low speed torque. I won't talk about the Dodges because I didn't like them from the start. The Chevys were too light, but they were the fastest. I do like Chevy cars though.
, I retired from Ford and bought my Vette with Ford money...drove it to work too the last 10 years...my engineering buddies loved the car. My Ford stock is going to finance a C7 next year too!
I still work for Ford and love my Ecoboosted F150. After more than 10 years there, nobody questions my Corvettes. I like to say that I don't mix business and pleasure.
Lets hope the stock continues to perform well. I still have another decade and a half before I can retire.

yes to that...it's been way too long in the low numbers. Life is good....my advice, try to put up with the corporate crap, don't make waves, and get out of there with a great pension and 401k.
