New Update. I think we're almost there. Just cleaning up some of the edges and minor contouring adjustments:

Different color to better show contours:

Almost there. I anticipate a few more days and we should have a finalized design.

From there, the file is sent to a CNC shop with which my CAD engineer does a lot of work. They will take the existing shroud molds and re-machine them (saving a LOT of time and machine costs) I would guess this would take max a week depending on the Shop's workload.

Note: Once the design is finalized, I will get a more specific time-span estimate from the CNC shop. The Pre-Sale GP will be started at this time.

I will then pickup the shrouds and deliver them to the Thermo-forming shop and have them re-installed on the Plenum box. At that point we'll be good to go for the first SLC V3 production run.

Do you anticipate the lens being completely flush with the body line of the car?

Based on rough early measurements, there is a 1/2" to 3/4" difference in overall "lens bulge" between the factory headlight cover and the SLC lens. Unless you had them side by side, you'd probably never notice.

what kind of ETA should we expect ??

Looking at < 1 week until the shroud design is finalized. The Pre-sale will begin at that point. I will have an ETA on the first production run after I talk to the CNC shop about their work schedule.

And group purchase prise ??

The Pre-sale (and lowest price they will ever be) Is $995 + shipping

Optinal lighting chioces ??

"Hypervision" (quad Bi-xenon projectors)
Aux fog light (for cars with or without fog lights from factory)
COB style LED Angel eyes (VERY bright)

...Possibly Audi style LEDs, but I won't know until I have the first production shrouds for additional testing.

Tinted lens available ??

Sorry, this is a no-can do for legal and technical reasons.

I understand there is a minimal bulge, but why can't the lens follow the exact arch of the headlight cover? Not complaining, just curious.

Clearance issue. From a profile perspective, the projector can only sit so far down (or the beam will not clear the bumper), and so far back (or the bulb base will hit the top of the wheel well) The Projectors being used are the smallest (2.5") projectors available that still retain quality optics for main-beam headlights.

It would be possible to use an exact-match lens but it would require cutting a hole in the wheel well....something not even I care much to do (again)

^ thanks. i'll probably take the amber angel eyes. i think you mentioned you can mod them to make "angry" eyes right?

also do you have to modify the light circuit so the hypervision runs with all 4 lights on?

The hyper vision package comes with a special relay harness that keeps all 4 lights on. It's pretty easy to install.

I will have the "Evil eyes" modification available. It's not all that elaborate, but does require some expertise. Probably a $25 upgrade.
