I know someone has experienced this. Tried **** inside and key. Doesn't look like I can get the inner skin off either.

I can MANUALLY lock and unlock mine all day. However, the power lock buttons on BOTH sides only work the passenger side intermittently. Don't even get me started on the stupid passive remote...... Yours sounds like more of an mechanical issue though.
