No problem for me here in Cali, weather is perfect most of the year. Our winters are mid 70's - 60's.

Default Erie, pa

In '69, when I was young and wild, I had a '68 coupe. I put a set of studded snow tires on it and drove it all winter. It was one of the best winter cars ever, with superb traction and ability to get through Erie snows. I was totally surprised. Never got stuck, and it was much better than our 68 Impala wagon.

Of course, now I would never subject my C5 to the salt and sand of Erie winters. That's one good reason that I live in SC.

Did my time storing my 77 in the winter when I lived in NJ....

Not in the beautiful state of North Carolina though.....down here for me its the early sunset and the threat of deer that keeps my C5 at home......

Shame you all bought expensive cars you're afraid to drive. I drive more in the winter because the sun will do more damage than whatever you are afraid of

Sounds like you never tried washing the salt off in zero degree weather

September through December can be some of the best times to drive a vette in Missouri so long as we don't get an early snow.

Yeah, we have about the crappiest smog laws in the Union but can still drive the Vettes year round in Kali.

dec-feb are my only storage months. basically a 90 day bad weather wait. it's not so much the conditions on some of those days, it's all the damn pea gravel that winds up on the road after ice

I drove my auto in the snow quite a bit but when I had trans rebuilt it hit second so hard it was dangerous. I now have a FRC and the six speed is crazy with the hills. Lucky I have a car lot so I always have 4x4 to jump in.

Still got around three months left before I worry about putting mine away for the winter. Lots of good driving time left.
