cant decide what to buy
2003 zo6,18k mi.all stock,needs tires,$23.5k.2nd vette,2001 non z 30k mi.6 sp.new tires ss headers,corsa ex.viram intake.$15.5k.since there both about 400 hp.what to buy ??any thing extra in the z06.the 01 saves me $8k thanks for your feed back.mike

Buy the 01 and boost it!
Seriously. I would say it depends on what you want to do with it. If you're not going to touch it with mods, then I would go with the Z. If you are going to mod it, then you need to make the decision of how much because there is a point at which you will replace enough on either car to not justify the difference other then to say you paid $8k more up front to say you have a Z. Then again, us FI guys are crazy!

Get the real deal. That price is reasonable. No way that 01 ='s the Z in HP with those mods. Aim for 1K less to off-set the need for tires and lock her in.

I would go with the '01 and save a lot of money.
I don't know the exact hp of the '01 with those mods, but I suspect is is similar to the Z.
The Z has a different transmission that is a little stronger and has slightly different gear ratios to aid acceleration.
The Z has a stiffer suspension and wider wheels/tires. However, you can upgrade the base car quite easily for both suspension and wheels/tires if you decide to.
To me the bigger question is which body style and options do you want. I like the notch back with a trunk (I have an FRC) and I also like to take the targa top off (I have a targa also).
For me, the deciding factor the price difference if they are both similar condition cars.
You should also drive both and see what you like.
