I saw the same instagram picture. It was not finished in that picture and I don't think they have worked on it since his last update here. That's the feeling I got from whatever it was he wrote with it. I think tdogg has the same takeaway.

I tried to get a hold of him a while back to see what was going on and never heard back. I was really looking forward to this one, I hope he gets back at it.

His only problem is that he was all over the damn place , and wasted a ton of time and energy.
His widebody alone would of been killer, he wore himself out I'm sure.
The C5 platform needs an agreesive kit like he was making, 2 inch front and 4 inch rear.

In jail on child support charges. Spent all his money on the car. It was sold for parts. Kids starved, he's trading packs of ramen noodles in jail for smokes.

Just saw their business was bought out and they are now supposedly working on their own builds for another company. So maybe the C5 will be on the list of builds to finish.

I had put my c5 on the backburner due to my workflow blowing up along with loss of interest due to a truck hitting it in the parking lot.
They officially own the rights to my business until 2022. I have opened up three car dealerships and a few other businesses during my absence. Plus owning a car shop isn't what its cracked up to be. It consists of insane amount of hours and back breaking work non stop. You finish 5/10 cars for that week then the next line comes. The builds never stopped.
I am now "somewhat" retired at the age of 32 in comparison to my 20's work scheduling. I purchased my first house off the beach of North County San Diego. I spent 2018-2020 catching up on family that I forgot about. Working 100 hours a week really removed a lot of my life experiences. This is when time and money really have true meaning versus it just being a saying you hear. I really fucked up and lost people in my life that I can never spend time with again.
Luckily, the days of stressful shop builds and customers has ceased.
I always finish something I start and this is the only car I haven't finished. It taunts me every time I see it.
Bringing this one back from the dead for a quick update.

You are correct. I wasted a lot of time, energy, and money focusing on stupid things. I live and learned. Prioritizing, following K.I.S.S, and hours in the day is what I was lacking. I am glad it was on my dime and not a customer's vehicle. I made many mistakes on this build that allowed me to avoid possible disasters/over complications on other bigger builds.

That being said, I am glad I never finished my c5 and put other people's projects in priority ahead of mine. I would have only held myself back trying to budget and focus time on something not needed at all. Deep down inside I knew what I had to do to become successful so I pushed my vette into the corner.
To finish Project cars is a perfected science. That science is planning, budgeting, and 1-5 hours a day of productive work everyday.
I have honed my skills to an insane amount since the last time I have posted. I can now fabricate metal, build race car aerodynamics with cfd testing, paint, and a lot more. It is now time to resurrect this heap of metal and fiberglass.
I will have updates shortly once I get back into California. With my newfound experience and new aresenal of tooling. I will be adding in all of that to this build. I made a lot of mistakes on this build due to my age and inexperience at the time.
Looking back at this thread is like looking at an old school year book. Its super cringe. I learned a lot during that time by making mistakes on my own car that have made me more aware during other projects. I have no regrets other than making those side skirts and sticking with the factory hood.
First thing on my agenda is to make it look presentable for once it gets to my official workshop. I can't have some eye sore heap of corvette killing the vibes of beauty in there.
Cage, rear bumper, new hood, new skirts, and the redoing of the front end will be coming shortly.
I will also be on a look out in the auctions for a crashed z06 as a secondary parts car.
PS - I did finish the ctsv caliper swap. Wouldn't recommend it. It works, but was just too much work. Complete waste of time/money imo. I wish I just went with a full wilwood kit.
Thanks for all the positivity and awesome users that posted here.
