I saved up for my Z06, then sold my C4 to add to it right when I was ready to buy. I had cash ready and I got a crushing deal...50k mile 2002 Z06, couple mods, new tires, very clean 2 owner with full maint records for 17,500.00 in March 2011...

I hate and don't need credit . I pay cash for everything or wouldn't buy it. Buying with credit takes away your buying power.

Handed the lady a bank check for $17,500 for my 1999, w/ 23k this Jun. Best move I've made since I bought my 1971 off the showroom floor, that one I had to make a few of payments on......

Took out a loan to decide if I wanted to keep the 72 Camaro or the Z06. Picked the Z06, sold the Camaro and paid off the Z. Been paid off 3 years now. Since then spent about 11k in mods.

I bought mine in April 2003, on a whim, saw it out of the corner of my eye on a used lot, went "whoa a Corvette" and pulled over.

I was 25, and had just started establishing credit, and was just "dreaming" I opened the door and looked in it, sales guy came and talked, and said lets see what we can do, I knew they would tell me I did not make enough, or my credit was not established long enough, so I said ok.

They said I qualified for a loan and could take it home, now getting the payments to what I finally said "I think I can do that" after what felt like hours, I drove the car off the lot, a 1999 red Convertible Corvette 6 speed, 4 years old, at 25 I felt so damn happy!

When I was a teen I said to my brothers one day I'm gonna get a Corvette (I'm the youngest) one said "Mike, you will never get a Corvette, those are for rich people"

Oh, I got a 6 year loan, and paid it off in 2009, I had a girlfriend and we even got married down the road, divorced now, but she was JEALOUS of the Corvette, she did not wanna go for my long rides on my day off.

Accused me of having an affair for being gone for 5 hours "nobody drives a Corvette around for 5 hours" like the 2nd week I had it.

Yes, mine is paid off and has been for several years. Nice to not have any payments on the Vette.

Ask your doctor to call the NSA and/or the IRS and/or DHS, they will check your financial records, registration, home, car and health insurance situations/conditions and then some one you never met will tell you whether or not your Vette is trully paid off. He says:

"There is that teensy weensy luxury sportscar tax you forgot about".

I have owned mine for some time now. Hope we get to keep them,,,

10 years ago I bought my 2000, which already had some nice mods done to it. Traded my '90 ZR-1 for it along with 10K. One of the best purchases I ever made.
