I kinda liked the less mellow you, (it's all good)

It's probably your mellow nature that's making people not want to poke their finger in your eye, making the forum more tolerable. Glad to have you here, also glad to not see any more forum fights

I don't hate the wagon wheel, but it's definitely too euro to actually look good on a c5.

Ive never come here with an aggressive attitude, not in almost 15 years. My intent has always been to be helpful in areas that I am an absolute expert. I have always had a problem with people disrespecting me and the time I spend here. IN 15 years I have never once come here for help. I' ve always been here to help others. I have almost twice the amount of Private messages asking me for help, with never any hostility.

IN open forum some people have chosen, over the years to poke their finger in my eye.
Not just offer an opinion of their own in open forum, but to purposely quote me and tell me how wrong I am...This has not been the case in the last year. So for me, I cone here to still help, but few people care anymore about how this car was designed, so my relevance here has changed dramatically. I used to get between 50 and 100 PM's a day from 2001 and 2005. I never went to bed any of those days without answering each one. Sometimes spending 10 to 12 hours a day answering questions or getting answers from my former team members. I like the mellowness to, l always have come here to help if I could, and stayed away from threads where I could not help. IM still getting 5 or 6 PM's a day, but more about my health and occasional nostalgia question.

Yeah, but ya gotta admit that particularly in regard to your Pace Car, they are absolutely unforgettable!!!!!

On a side note, I love all of the pace cars, but my favorite one is the purple and white C4. I believe it was '96 and the 500 was run on my birthday that year, May 28, just another reason besides the beauty of the car itself for my admiration. I think it was '96 (might have been '95), but I am old...........

I am of the mind that you come to a forum for information and ideas. I have never understood the malice,I take what I think is useful to me and leave the rest. I am not saying I won't stick to what I believe in, unless I can be proven wrong !!! I also like to make friends not enemies, as we age we find friends are what matters !!!! I have always respected you and your information, and I Thank You for all the years of service !!! (even though I have only been here for a couple years) also you can tell I like to have a bit of fun !!!!

I've only been here a little over 6 months and I love this place and all the nice helpful people on here. It saves me time, trouble and keeps me away from mechanics. I don't have too much to offer yet, being this is my first vette, but in time I will have more to offer. I have come across a couple rude people on here, but just like the real world your gonna have jerks where ever u go. To all the cool people, much respect! Also being I'm new to this forum, I've been treated like I've been here for years, I was on another forum in the beginning "digital-blank", And it didn't feel like home like here, they didn't make me feel welcome like this forum, I actually felt ignored. Corvetteforum rules!

Yep for sure, unforgettable, or in some people on the streets reaction when they see them, atrocious. I like the C4 Pace Car a bit better, it was 95, and they made fewer of them so it's a little rarer, and they did have nicer color wheels IMO.

Thanks. Searching for a coupe with under 30k miles & no mods. Auto, preferably one owner.

Yes I'm picky :-) I have one now with 22k miles. Took a while to find but it was well worth the wait. I have patience :-)

Hmm

The chrome somehow makes them work on the convertible.

The contours of the wheel plus the outer and recessed circular aspects of them come to life.
