Hit a patch of black ice under a bridge this past Wednesday. Car began to come around so I let off and tried to correct it. Went into a spin and I ended up striking the corner of a brick building with the rear end after hitting a road sign with the driver-side door. I thought I was going to vomit when I got out and looked at the car. This type of stuff is supposed to happen to other people, not to me. Haven't heard back from the insurance company yet as they have been flooded with calls. Just wondering if it's over for this car. Photos are below. Thanks guys.
It's only a matter of time and money, but unless it's got sentimental value to you, I'd expect you'd be better off having it total out and finding a nice C6Z to replace it with!
Wow, that sucks. The car appears fixable, but as far as an insurance company is concerned, it is probably totaled. Sorry for your loss.
Yea, I know that anything can be fixed with enough money. I'm just thinking that the car may never drive right again with frame damage. I'm just glad I didn't hit the corner of that brick building on the driver-side. I don't think I would've been able to get out and walk away if that was the case.

I wish. Wouldn't that be nice. Too poor right now for that. Maybe after I finish college and get my degree.
Wow thats sucks ....good thing u made it out k...from the looks of the damage , its going to be a lot of work for sure to fix it the frame is bent for sure , roof removal required and a trunk tub too, pulling on the frame machine, cutting, welding. .etc (most likely the insurance will total it ..) but u can buy the car back from them ...

In hindsight, I'm glad I am fine. But at the time, I would've traded bodily injury to myself if it would've meant the car was ok.
Meant to add that I'm not sure what the deal is underneath the car as I was only in the body shop for a few minutes on Friday. I believe the control arms might be bent on the driver-side. I know at least the driver-side wheel would need replacing, possibly passenger-side. Rear cradle I'm not sure about. The more I think about it, the more I start to think it'll be totaled.
