The first thing to so is to pull the codes. Then ask your question in the tech. Section. There are probably 20 or more possiblities, and 3 to 4 really common ones

You will find many post in the tech section about pulling codes using the dic. You don't need a reader, just your right hand

Good advice above. Pull the codes off the DIC and then post them up.

There's a aftermath air intake filter on it. Will that have something to do with the light being on?

I guess you mean 'after market', but I doubt that's the problem as way too many on here have one of those (many different types) without any problems.

Pull the codes as posted above, then find out what they mean (post 'em here) Have someone write them down as it scrolls through the codes, then we can tell you if it's a serious problem or not. Once you get this information, you can use it in your price negotiations.

It's a possibility, however the only way to really know is get the code number(s) that are in the PCM from the DIC as noted above and we will be able to progress and answer your questions from there!

Thanks,Matt
