Default Dash trim, bezel gaps

Anyone got ideas how to make this part of the C5 look better ? You know the big gap between the stereo bezel and the dash. Other areas I have run wiring in those gaps that are so wide the wire won't even stay tucked in...

Are those the plastic inserts that stick out from behind the radio bezel area? Do you cut them off completely or just trim enough away from the bezel? Would you by chance have a pic of the bezel area you can post? Thanks!

That worries me that I'll cut the wrong thing off. You have a pic of these pins? Thanks.

Cool. But how is it installed? I guess you can take off the bezel or traction control console and attach it to the piece, then reinstall.

I just cut off the 2 plastic insert pins that were molded right behind the bezel. They're the ones that look like little arrowhead tips. They would normally insert just to the left and right of the radio mount. The bezel's final fit is still not perfectly flush in the upper right corner, but it's a whole lot better now than how it was before. Thanks for the tip, Dennis!

Don't you need them to secure the bezel to the dash? Seems like it'd be loose up top without them.

put a couple washers under the mounting point on left side under traction control.
This will raise the back left corner and push the front right corner closer to the dash ..
another trick i sometime need to use

There are two plastic tabs with ridges at the top portion of the bezel. These tabs need to tuck in first into the mounting area, above the radio, when sliding the bezel into place. There's also two mounting areas where the bezel meets the armrest console. The bezel will stay in place with these four mounting areas.
