Default My first interior mod!

OK, don't bust my chops too hard I'm no sfc rick!!

If you ask me yellow and black is difficult if you want it to remain somewhat subtle! All I wanted to do was bring a little of the exterior color to the interior. I bought the shifter boot from RedLine Goods.

I'm quite happy with the leather and color. The actual install was a piece of cake. All I can say was removing the pin in the shifter was a major PITA. I had towels all over the interior hoping parts didn't go flying!!

Steering wheel is next!

Looks good and I don't see a nic in the area. Awesome start, as I'm sure it won't be the last. It's a disease I tell ya, it's a disease.

Looks great! Very subtle yet serves the purpose of breaking up the sea of interior black.

Looks great. Nothing wrong with bringing some color into the interior.

ya know, I think sfc rick started with just a shifter boot too...

looks very nice, but as has been stated already, modding is a disease and it looks like you are in the early stages...welcome to the asylum!

Next weekend will be one year of ownership. At this rate I "think" I'm OK.

The problem is once you complete a mod...you become aware that you have no limits and think anything is possible. There lies the danger!

The demon key is easier than one anticipates. 2 screwdrivers and it's done. I have many other shift ***** so I won't be dealing with that key again.

Easy??? Small needle nose vice grips with a putty knife in between. About 30-40 whacks with the hammer before it popped.

(I tried the 2 screwdrivers method and almost ended up with a screwdriver in the eye.)

Glad it's done!!!

For me it was. I guess it's a singular experience. Having broken too many things thru over enthusiasm, I take lots of prep time before the attack.

I've been wanting to bring a little yellow into my interior too. I hadn't seen that particular boot before. Looks great!

Custom ordered from RedLine. I took strips of yellow construction paper into the car to help determine the width of the yellow stripe I thought looked best.

And Thank You!
