Default Any Forum Anodizing Options?

So due to a sketchball backing out of a wheel trade, I now have my tires dismounted from my CCW Classics and have decided to break them down and refinish the faces in a custom color.

Currently they are anodized black and I'd like to go to a gunmetal or anthracite color. Obviously I can paint them, but I like the way anodizing still shows the character of the aluminum so I'm trying to source somebody who is experienced. So does anyone have any recommendations?

Here is what I'm looking to replicate:

You obviously know that anodizing is an electrochemical process. Maybe check a local chrome shop?

Yes I do, and trust me I've called every chrome shop/anodizer in Louisiana that I could find on google. I've pretty much accepted that I will have to mail the parts off. I really cannot believe that no one has had any parts anodized either for a show car or even someone who is into paintball guns.

David Russell Anodizing is who CCW used and they do not seem to want the business. I've emailed and called and no one has gotten back to me with a quote .... I suppose this may be one of the reasons CCW has stopped using them

Think I'd rather powdercoat them just for the protection. Anodizing looks good but Doesn't really protect all that well.

You know Chad, as nice as anodizing is as your example shows, 3boys makes a lot of sense. Powdercoat is available in any color, and much more durable. Can't repair anodizing at home either.

Yea, I know I could powdercoat but that will give me the same look as paint. As a last resort I'll paint the centers myself as I have a HVLP gun setup, I'm just trying to see if I can get it anodized as that's my first choice since it allows the metal characteristics to show.

There are some amazing powdercoat options anymore. Regular paint and hot brake dust generally don't do well.

Check out the Metallics.
