Those who concealed carry in their C5:
Where do you keep your gun? Thinking about making some kind of holster that mounts behind the passenger side seat. Just seeing if anyone else has come up with something creative.

I carry a Model 27 Glock subcompact and I keep it on my belt line everywhere using a clipdraw retainer. I have access to it with the seat belt buckled as well as when I stand up out of the vehicle. If you are ambushed you have no chance regardless of where it is located but if it isn't on your person you basically have left home without it.
Going through training with a fanny pack it is an exercise to access the weapon in the pack while wearing it in a preferred position, draw and fire accurately within three seconds when standing, while facing the target and knowing it is coming.
I am not criticizing anyone who has the foresight to carry. GOD bless each and every one of us. Just be sure you keep practiced and familiar with your weapon for accuracy and reliability and be sure to know where that round goes after it leaves the muzzle.

I have a holster screwed into the knee bolster so the handle rests between the key location and my right knee, so in essence I just reach and pull it. I also have a longer kydex scabbard bolted to the center console tunnel on my drivers side that I can slide my Rossi Ranch Hand 45LC into and it's concealed so all I do is grab it.
I have no problem solving my carry needs and I'm armed to the teeth at all times.

Drifting
Once I had a tire problem and had to stop to get it fixed. I had been in the country and realized I had my .454 With 8 inch barrel. Nobody noticed or said anything when I stuffed it in my belt and waited for repairs

I always carry my s&w bodyguard in my belt area ,this way I always know where it is at all times, same place all the time. not sure if its a good idea to mount in car .If you get in a accident you don't want it to go flying around.

I use to rock crawl with a guy who got hit in the head with his .45 when he rolled his Jeep over. He just had it sitting in the center console which flew open when he went over.

The trouble with mounting a holster in the car is that you may inadvertently leave the gun there instead of keeping it on your person, where you may need it. An ancillary problem is if a non licensed person then drives the car and gets stopped.
Small to medium autos can be carried on your hip inside your belt and shirt, but over the T shirt without a holster. The belt snugs it into place. When I was younger I used to jog that way. A pager or cell phone pouch on that hip helps to camouflage the gun.
That said, using that carry mode I have noticed that my Kahr CW9 can dig into my side a little on the track, but my Colt Pocketlite .380 does not.
Either of the above guns, including spare mag holder can be carried inside a slightly large shirt utilizing a Miami Classic shoulder rig and that is no problem on the track or being quite active. Some experimentation and adjustment will be necessary to avoid conspicuous bulges. Finding a correct holster for a small auto for that rig can be problematic. If you are creative with holster makers that issue can be solved.
