Default C5 w/c6 zo6 brakes.... What size and offset?

Having trouble finding wheels that would fit on a c5 with c6 zo6 brakes. Any help?

I'm running TSW Nurburgring's 19" x 9" front (though 18" would have fit), and 19" x 10.5", and there is plenty of clearance. I don't have the numbers on the offsets handy though.

They should be +50 F and +65 R. The spoke design of the TSWs leave a lot of clearance.

You also will have to run C6 z06 or grand sport wheels unless you purchase custom wheels that will clear big brakes. C6z wheels on a C5 will stick out unless you have flared quarter panels.

I am running c6z brakes with grand sport wheels. I have flared rear quarters. The fronts stick out about 1/2 inch.

Wow that looks great. So can you use any c6 standard offset rim with these rear fenders or just with the grand sport wheels?

I believe my 18/19 forgestar f14 will fit c6z brakes.

Hello,

I'm running a C6 Z06 brake kits with a 19/20 360 Forged Mesh 8 285 upfront / 345 in the rear with a 2 in tub kit. No flare but I can fit just about all of the tire in the well. My rear wheels are 20"x12.5" ET72 Before that, the car came with an 18/29 HRE 540 295/345 with regular C5 offsets but custom made for this application and it cleared the brakes.

Best bet is to work with a reputable vendor. Let them know exactly the type of mixed application (C5 w C6part) you have going and they will help you figure what will fit. The key will be getting the right off set and back spacing right.

With the flared rear quarter you will have to run a spacer to have a c6z or grand sport wheel sit flush. I am running a 20mm hub centric spacer with longer ARP studs. c6z and c6 grand sport wheels have the same offsets.

Default GS Wheels on C5

Where did you purchase your hub centric spacers and what length ARP studs did you use?
Thanks!

I purchase the hubcentric spacers from www.motorsport-tech.com

I purchase 3-1/4" studs from JEGS and cut them to 2-5/8". Here is a pic next to the stock stud. The yellow mark is where I cut the stud.

Here they are installed.

Default Studs and spacers

Thank you for the detailed response! Did you remove the hub/upright or drill a hole in the backing plate to install the studs?

Stock c5z wheels clear. I have my stock 18s on the front and 17s in the rears. Or you can do 18s all the way around. Require no modification. Just a narrow front tire for the 18s. I have 275 40 18 fronts. Have had zero issues. Soon to get forgestar wheels tho

I remove the hub. I think it is faster than trying to drill a hole in the backing plate and then thread a bolt through the hole.

Is anyone running a 18/19 setup with big brakes? I have started looking at wide fenders but I am still looking for wheels that would fit

Check out Ace Alloy "Slick" wheels 18 front and 18 or 19 rears. They are available from several of the usual Corvette p[arts guys.
I have the 18/18 set up. No issues and they look great.
You can find a ton of pic's of C5's with them.
