flip-up headlight quandry
I previously posted that my 2001, when in sentinel mode, only the left headlight would pop-up.
I now turn on the headlights manually by the switch and both pop-up correctly. When I turn off the headlights, both go down correctly, without hesitation, but then the right unit makes a clicking sound for 2 or 3 seconds after the lights are down correctly.
Is it a problem with the motor unit or a part?

Melting Slicks
OEM gear teeth are nylon. Likely the gear is stripped. That's the grinding sound.
I've seen brass replacement gears, but have not installed one.
(Mine was still under warranty when that failure happened, so dealer replaced the entire motor.)
