Detailer's..what wax do you use?
#21
True that. The off the shelf NXT from MGs isn't that bad. I've heard the turtle wax "ice" is ok too.
The detail industry moves pretty quickly. Trying new stuff is always good. I'm waiting to try the new SCG products when they are ready.
For cutting and polishing, I have yet to find anything better than Menzerna, but I think this thread is more about wax than paint correction.

I use Pinnacle Souveran Carnuba Paste Wax.
Why do I?
Well because the previous owner gave me what was left of the can he had been using on the car before selling it to me. He treated the car like we wish all previous owners did, and it looked it...I find this Pinnacle stuff to be extremely easy to use, amazing shine, and it smells better than some past girl friends too...

I have been using the Turtle Wax Ice Paste wax for a few years now and it does a very good job on my car. I'm sure there may be better waxes out there, but I have no complaints about what I use and the car turns out great. I have also had good results with Adam's Polishes products.

Wolfgang carnuba polymer fuzion concours series. It has UV protection and paint sealent, no need to let it dry, wipe on wipe off for a beautiful shine. 3oz jar for 60$, enough to wax a car at least 10 times, you use very little, a little goes a long way. I love this stuff.

one answer, for all....
Ok, now there are different schools of thought here. Years of experience with different brands, create a certain loyalty.
So, can we sort this all out, once and for all?
Do you, hold your beer in one hand while waxing and cleaning?
Or, do you set your beer aside, nearby, so as not to spill a drop while waxing and cleaning?
There must be, one answer, to this eternal question.... or is there?

Seems like Zaino is on top of the list... I myself have been using Meguairs stuff for years and I am very happy with it, however I prefer Mother's clay bar when it comes to that. I should have took before and after pics of my C5 I recently bought...

I think everyone on this forum uses Chadwicks or Zaino. Are they a froum sponsor or somthing?
Anyway I use Adams, Pinnicle, and Ammo. If you really want a good wax read up on all of it. not just the stuff you buy on forums and walmart.

Beer is essential especially in these HOT summer Texas days and nights.

I've seen the difference between many of the various pastes and liquids and Zaino provided the best shine out of all of them. Zaino also holds up to the Texas summer sun, which will kill the effectiveness of many pastes/liquids because of the high temperatures they're subjected to.

I always set my beer down, but I have yet to wax my car. I am getting a polisher and going over it according to the video series someone posted on here about it. My car looks pretty damn good considering, but there are a lot of light scratches around the hatch from the PO putting crap in with a belt or something rubbing.
