I bought mine from MidAmerica Motor Works. Saw their stuff in Carlyle. It is high quality and delivered quickly. I opted for perforated leather at no additional charge. Been on now for three years with virtually no wear.

Thank you for the information , I will be attempting my driver seat in a couple weeks. The write up and pictures are a great help in getting this task completed.

My seat rebuild lasted about 30k miles (a year). Poor design.

Do you know the Part # or source for the plastic trim piece that holds the control bezel on the driver's seat? Mine is broken & I'd like to replace before selling.

OLD thread, but I just ordered the WCC Seat Kit mentioned in OP while it is on sale. Time to replace my seat foam on the driver's side anyway - good timing for me.

Here is another re-build thread.
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...-than-new.html

Pay particular attention to page 2 - where that poster duck taped flex tubing to the metal edges of the seat frame.

Here's yet another one that also uses flex tubing:

http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...d.php?t=104955

Using the above two threads for guidance, I rebuilt my seats in 2015 when installing new custom leather seat covers made by Vette Essentitals. [Thanks Sandy. She gave me my choice of over 4,000 leather colors and textures from which to choose when building new covers. I chose "baseball glove brown" and am extremely happy with the results.]

I used the flex tubing approach and also attached carpet padding under the seat (to prevent the seat springs from cutting into the foam). I've experienced no sagging or similar indications that the re-build is failing, so I'm comforted that by following the cited guidance I've at least kicked the can far down the road.

One hint if you remove the sport seat covers: use a zip tie hooked into the zipper when unzipping, and rezipping the sport seat's top back section (where the hole is). Makes zipping/unzipping a snap.

Great write up.

My 2005 seat needed this badly. For the money, can't be beat.

I've seen the kit sold by West Coast Corvette or eBay.
