C5 Seat Back Hoops - Convertible issue
Fellas,
New to the site and bought my first Vette a few months back! Any help would be appreciated, I have the chrome seat hoops. When putting the top up or down, they are in the way of this. I have to lift up on the window a bit to finagle it to work. This puts pressure on the adhesive that the window is sutured onto the fabric of the top. Any ideas how to adjust or remove these hoops??
Thanks!!

they're not from the factory, so they're after market and are probably more about appearance than safety . . .my guess is that if you peel up the carpet around their base, you'll see where they unscrew/unbolt.
Most folks here aren't fans . . .but obviously, your car . . . .your call.

I've had mine on for a few years and love them- and receive many compliments. My body shop guy installed them with adhesive and cut the carpet around the base. I have a convertible and there is no interference. Yours were probably installed wrong and they will damage your convertible. I would suggest removing them and reinstall to be safe.
