Drove the PCH all the way up to Southern Oregon with my wife and daughter.....in a rental. Really wished I was in the Vette. Coming from Florida, it was the most beautiful drive ever.
Try to see.....Hearst Castle, Santa Monica, Carmel, Big Sur, The redwoods, and St. Louis Obispo.

awesome, thanks alot! I'll be sure to post some pics after the drive
Lots of great drives here- I'm originally for Massachusetts, so I definitely appreciate the varying scenery. Good local drives are:
1. Julian- Great drive up the hill, have lunch at the Rongbranch and apple pie at the pie joint of choice.
2. Big Bear - Lake Arrowhead - Big Bear- STUNNING view from the Rim Of The World Highway, and very challenging turns and twisties.
3. Northwise, the key is to get north of San Francisco, and get to Bodega Bay and the Russian River area, around The Sea Ranch. You'll be stunned, I guarantee it.
Unfortunately I was by myself, depending on the traffic at the time, I did a lot of downshifting, the scenery is fabulous. Got to keep your eyes on the road when by yourself or you could drive into the cold Pacific.
You will definitely enjoy the ride.................Good luck
