2k Mod Budget - which would you do???
Getting ready to do the next round of mods to my car. My first set was suspension mods, QA1 shocks, Hotchkis Sways, Metal Endlinks, and Elite Engineering tunnel plate.
I'm considering getting a Precision Industries Vigilante Torque Converter, 2400 rpm stall with 2.2 STR or Hyperco Composite Street leaf springs to finish off the suspension.
So which would you do? The torque converter for a little more oomph or the leaf springs to replace the stockers?

I'd get a set of LT headers and CAI instead of the torque converter or any other power related parts. Your stock leaf springs are fine. I learned a long time ago that you first build the suspension so the car stays on the road, then add the parts that let the engine breathe, then add the go-fast parts.

The stock leaf springs are a little soft for my taste. I was considering Z06 leaf springs but then I saw these. Headers and a CAI are in the future but I want to do the trans before I added any power mods. I should have mentioned along with the converter I would add a trans cooler.

In that case I'd say go ahead and finish the suspension before you move to something else.

I would finish the suspension then move on to the torque converter.

Not sure if u have a base or z51, but i have a base and the car was way too soft for being a corvette. I just installed the following suspension parts:
VBP composite front spring
Z06 rear leaf
C6z06 shocks front and rear
ZR1 front swaybar
C6Z51 rear swaybar
Metal endlinks
That completely changed the car, its amazing. I would finish the suspension and an CAI and headers theres still room. The car is so much more fun to drive now.

The autos never had the rear gearing they should have had. That was a reason they were slower than manuals.
Whether an auto or manual changing the rear gears is a worthwhile upgrade.
Surprised on one has mentioned that.
