I would suggest you pull off the passenger fender.......you could tell most of what you need by comparing the two sides.....they are nearly identical........
That car looks like a parts only car. The front looks twisted and the rear suspension has to be damaged considering a large piece of the wheel broke off during impact.
How much does a typical C5 sell for there in good, ready to drive condition?
you guy don't know the value of the car there. Sure $13k is a ton here. But if there is a 130% markup and the cars cannot be imported anymore.
That car might very well be worth $35k to $40k
There labor will be closer to $5 an hour then $120 per hour.
It is very possible he can get it fixed for $6k.
He needs to talk to a frame shop and have someone look at the car who can actually tell if the frame can be fixed.
If it can then he can order those parts from any junk yard in the US and ship them in one container.
Tell us what a similar ready to drive C5 would sell for and what a 2008 C6 would sell for.
You need to put it on a frame rack to even know if it can be fixed.
You also need to evaluate the power steering, engine oil and the brake system since the caps are all missing off those so who knows what has gotten into them or how serviceable those are. The engine could be full or water.
Have you seen it run?
The coolant tank looks empty so where did the coolant go?
I'm thinking just the parts will cost more than your budget. You could contact Marc at Vettenutz and ask him if he'd be willing to throw together a quick list of the major parts he sees missing and his selling price just to give you an initial idea of the repair price using used parts.
I could only see it being feasable to fix if you could find another one with the rear-end wrecked and even then it'd be a lot of time and money.
Here is a quick start with just a few of the major pieces you need.
- left front frame rail
- left front suspension
- left inner fender
- left outer fender
- all the various filler panels and such around the front
- rad support cradle
- windshield washer tank
- hood
- hood hinges
- front bumper cover
- front bumper cover support foam
- left side complete headlight assembly
- right side headlight cover
- left door
- 2 left side thin spoke wheels or a set of aftermarket wheels.
- 4 new tires
You are in the wrong country to try and salvage this car. It would be a challenge in the USA. You will be getting in way over your head unless you have done body shop work before, let alone what may be wrong in the drivetrain or engine.

Wow good idea)) in terms of suspension it will be exactly the same. But how abt bodyparts under fender that is my consideration.
thank you for ur feedback.. it is very appreciated. but could you tell me what should be under the driver side fender? what i have to look for. Fender itself, brakes, suspenion?
I think you need everything except the pass. side mirror!

U r saying right words. The car in good condition, but with higer mileage in the ads costs about 40k year 2000. But it is overpriced. Not everyone would buy becaus the corvette 2005-2006 you could get for abt 42k. But since this car cannot be imported anymore the price around 40k. But only real fans would buy it. So i guess if u really want to sell it u could sell it for abt 30k. The labor a lot cheaper than in US. I worry more abt parts
the hood on it is rusted... it screamed to me as the wrong hood as well.
I have employees that work in other countries so I understand the labor cost more then most.
I would imagine the engine and tranny are worth about 8k over there. maybe a little more.
You biggest issue is the frame. Find out if it is fixable.

Your asking for a lot of research, it is better to ask someone who has something to gain.

Okey. The ready to drive car like this will cost 42-43k usd. But its a strating price. They would never get that amount of cash for it because not many people in my country willing to spent because the weather conditions allow u to drive only 5 monthes in the year. The corvette 2006 was selling for 45k previously. It was urgent sale. But usually people sell it for 60-65k.
The caps are missing because it was stolen while the car was parked at the work shop. But i m not sure in what condition is the engine. It can be started. The car was left after accident almost for three years. The owner couldnt fix it because of cash problems.

I think i should give up on this idea to fix it. It is clear to me now that it will cost me a lot of effort and cash to fix it. And maybe it will take more than a year for parts to order and fix it.

Labor cost maybe cheap but I'll bet to get replacement parts will be super high. I would bet that the control modules are full of sand and probably trash. Cost to repair would probably be way more that the car is worth.
