416 Stroker or buy the Viper?
For those of you not familiar with my ride here it is:

Kinda getting tired of "what else can I do" so I am thinking about buying a 2008+ Viper or just putting a 416 stroker in my vette for Sh$ts and giggles.
Stroker installed with everything $15K. 2008+ Viper $60K
Have cash for either. What would you do?

Looking at your vette it seems you love to mod, not just the speed. Modding a viper will devalue it and there is minimal stuff available for it. Your vette can smoke a viper so stick with the vette.

Do you keep the vette and get the viper too? If so then I would buy the viper. Vipers will gain value in time, so they need to stay stock. I think it could be considered an investment.

Several factors to consider other that just one or the other.
How tall and big are you,, All accounts I've read is they are not very roomy cars. Then comfort being a possible factor, just how much driving do you do?
I like to take mine when I play golf,, you don't have much trunk space for more than a back pack in a Viper. Don't get me wrong, I think Vipers are cool and all,,,I just like the versatility of the Corvette is all. Done everything from Drag Racing to road trips to running errands or just cruising in mine.
I'm sure you know that most all LS based strokers can be pretty wicked,,so in my opinion I'd go for the stroker N/A,, THEN if you get tired of that after a while then drop the SC on that !
Have fun what ever you do!!!

Supercharge it.....cause nothing makes your day more than spending all that money on a $$$car and then get blown away by some 16 year old C5 coupe.
But then again..... some cars are cool to own regardless.

Stroker and a Maggie. More power and a little wine to go with it.
Though a ZR1 would also be tempting if you could get actually buy a low mile mint car at the $60K price point. Not a reality where I live.

BTW; He sold it a year ago, and bought a C7 about a month ago. Haven't seen it yet but I spoke to him and he says he LOVES it!!

Completely personal choice, but if you ask; Corvette hands down. I do not find the Viper remotely appealing. How about keeping your Corvette, or getting a C6, maybe an AC Cobra kit car for another play toy.

Man, I wish I had your problems!
Seriously, your Vette is drop dead gorgeous as is and I would leave it that way and buy a new Stingray with the $60k.
Vipers are cool in their own way, especially the coupes, but I hate the V-10 exhaust note . Kills the deal for me.
New Stingray, baby! Great garage companion to your C5!
