We dipped my sons 2006 Scion tC with a color flip. It worked very well! it lasted 2 years, 2 Michigan winters, never garaged for the 2 years. He got a ton of complements, it looked very cool. When he pulled it off, it came off easy, no troubles. It was still adhered very well and still very flexible, came off in full sheets. I believe it would have easily lasted another year. Its all about surface prep before you paint it.

I will be Plasti Dipping my 2001 Z06 in the spring to protect the paint on Track days / HPDE. My paint is still in really great shape after 18 years. the Millennium Yellow is hard to clean after a track day. The clear coat stains real easy and then you have to rub it with a little compound and then polish, taking off oh-so little clear coat. I Hate doing that. The Plasti dip is hard to clean but I don't really care about that. Once its all scuffed up with tar, asphalt and rubber, I'l just put another coat on or pull it off.

Surprisingly, a wrap vs Dip, DYI, materials aren't that different in cost. But 60 hours is a big commitment. I can prep and tape my car for dip in 4 to 5 hours and paint it in the same, maybe 6 hours tops. So it seem the installation favors Dip but Wrap probably lasts twice as long.

I think the white with my black wheels and black light accents would look really good. If anyone could photoshop my pic in the colors I listed that would be great!

Pic of my car now.

Had mine wrapped a year ago, still looks great. if garage keped it should last more than five years. mine was $2000. includeing door jams and strip.
