I thought that I read a post that stated the sport seats cushions/covers could be installed on the Z06 frame/shell. Is this correct?

From what I have seen the frames for all the seats are the same. You can buy the cushion foam and covers to make what ever style you want.

I am sure you can verify that by talking to a seat vendor.

Do the Z06 seat back frames/shell have cutouts so the sport seat foam and covers will work? If they don't, then they would have to be modified to allow for the base/sport seat opening in the seat back.

I always found it strange that the Z06 seats didn't have those cutouts considering that Z06 owners would be more likely to install harnesses.

Frames are the same, the seat cushions and covers determine the rest, and I agree, the sport seats have a better option for shoulder harnesses,
That why I swapped the regular seats out for sports seats

And for what it's worth the passenger seat bottom for both standard and sport, for 2003 and 2004 had cut out openings in the seat cushion to accommodate the child seat LATCH attachment points. Just in case you happen upon a seat cushion that looks a little different.
