C5 vs the Rest of Them
About a year ago, C7 was 'just out' and one pulled in next to me at Home Depot. I posted photos then, and asked others to do the same, to see how C5 stacked up.
I think C7 was too new, and not enough encounters (like mine) had happenned yet, at that point.
Let's try again. Do you have good pictures of your C5 Corvette next to a C7, or Mustang, Porsche, Camaro, or others to post up.
Let's see how the 'old' C5 Corvette still looks against 'the Field', as they say. I think, it holds it's own, against all comers and competitors.
What say you?
2003 C5 vs 2014 C7
Saleen Mustang:
(the mustang looks kind of like a ford pickup truck, from the front, I think...)

I love the look of the C7 and someday hope to have one, but I still think the C5 has the classic lines that will make it a favorite for many years.

I think the C7 is real nice except for that back, still don't like it and to me the 5&6 are both nicer due to that downfall. Mustang is OK, but not in the same way, more like an updated 69 Mustang.

Wonder how bad you could beat him in a 1/4? (I like the fact that Dodge brought this car back. I've got some good memories from the 70's involving the original Challenger.)

This c7 belongs to a good friend of mine. He tells me all the time that in 3 years he will sell it to me. To tell you the truth I am very happy just to keep mine although it is the right color. I am not shy to park mine next to his because I fell it can hold its own.

You can't really compare a C5 to any of those except for the C7. We have a sports car, while theirs are considered muscle cars. Completely different birds, although they can still flock together.
Compared to the C7, however, we're still looking good. I'd still like a C7 Z06 'vert, though.

The C7 body lines are blocky and sharp, the C5's lines are more like a woman and more appealing to me visually. I'd love to have the C7 tech in the C5 though.
Plus I love the C5 pop up headlights, and that was the main reason in didn't get a C6.

I will have a C7Z, likely a '16 in about '20.
I love my C5, I really do. And for the money, you really can't beat it. $15k for all this goodness is a tough thing to top. And it's sexy as hell.
