Aluminum Wheel Curb Rash Repair
Has anyone used a product called MuggyWeld Alloy 5 to repair curb rash on aluminum wheels. Just bought a set of thin spokes that I'm going to refinish and I figured I'd start with the rash. I plan on grinding out the rash area and refilling with this Alloy 5.
If I have bad luck with Alloy 5 I'll back out and have to practice my aluminum welding and do it that way.
Any advise or experience would be appreciated.

Melting Slicks
I would "NOT " add a dissimilar filler to the wheel because the filler and the wheel alloy are not the exact same composition. You will see the filler. I would just sand and polish it out....'Ive done it several times, and I made it disappear both times. Its the nice thing about aluminum.
This is why I try to never buy chrome wheels again, there are too many advantages to having polished aluminum vs chrome, this is just one of them.

I agree but I have one "rash" that is a little deeper and will leave a divot if I go to its full depth. This is an extra set of wheels I bought as a "project" so if it does not work I'll just grind it out and use aluminum weld rod. Pictures on the website showed that it blended well when polished - but we'll see.
I'll let you guys know how it works.
