Default Seat lifter mechanism repair

There is lots of info about rocking seats, but I cannot find any info on other seat tilt or lift repair technology. The passenger seat collapsed on my C5 vert, leaving a bunch of plastic bits under the seat. The seat now does not rise with the motor. How does one find the parts to repair this problem? I will take the seat out in the spring, but would like to locate a supplier so I won't have to machine up the necessary bits to fix it. I don't want to buy an entire seat support.

I had the same problem after doing the seat fix for rocking loose seats. I found pieces of plastic under the seat and it would no longer go up and down. Your seat clevis broke. It took me weeks to find a salvage yard that had it. I will give you the phone number below. The guys name is Ty and he is an honest man with fair pricing. AES Corvettes and parts sales 734 658 1053 BUT, you must tell him you need the REAR seat clevis since the front one that controls back and forth is different. Its easiest if he sends you the clevis, seat transmission and worm gear as a unit. Its easier to put it all in that way.. good luck! Bruce

Another possible source is Marc at VetteNuts. Worth a call.

There are sources on Ebay selling metal repair kits specifically for this problem.

Corvette Mods also sells a 2 in 1 kit for this issue as well as the "rocking seat" problem, all in one kit.
